Casablanca Night

As you know, our parish has made a commitment to assist Father Evangelos Thiani in his effort to construct an Orthodox church to be named for Saint Stephen, the First Martyr, for his community in Kenya where a temporary shelter now stands.  It will be a multi-phase effort over the course of the next 2 years to see a permanent structure erected there.  We all enjoyed Fr. Evangelos’ enthusiasm and love of Christ when he visited with us over Easter week a number of years ago.  So we hope you all will joyously support the various fund raising events that will be planned in the near future to raise money to assist Fr. Evangelos in spreading the Christian Orthodox word in Kenya.

Towards that effort, a key event will be held on Saturday, 9/24 at the Byzantium Hall at 6:30PM – an evening of dining and entertainment called Casablanca Night.  Award winning restauranteur and master chef, Alain Matrat, formerly of Les Folies French restaurant of Annapolis, will be our guest chef and he will prepare a 4 course meal for a limited number of guests.  The French bistro jazz group, Les Zazous will provide entertainment for the evening. We only have a few tickets left. If you are interested, please email the Church Office at officeschannapolis@gmail.com

Attached is a flyer which provides details of this event and the menu.  It should be a very enjoyable evening and an important step in seeing this project completed.
